Rochester Play! held a business grand opening and I attended to learn more about it. I took some video footage of the facilities and lots of pictures! I wanted to be able to show you Rochester Play! in its entirety. It is loads of fun!

The services offered at Rochester Play! include child care, drop-in child care (4 hours or less), open play (parents stay), and the play cafe - an indoor playscape with a healthy cafe.

There are so many families with children who have special needs. I asked Shelleen if they have any services that cater to these children. She replied, "When we designed the whole place, we made it wheel chair accessible, even at the cafe. We have elevators to get to the lower level. The equipment in the playscape is special needs accessible. Also, we will have times for play that will be designated to children with special needs, with focus on noise levels, dim lighting, etc. Finally, we offer menu items that are gluten free and more that are organic and vegan."

Rochester Play also offers Birthday Party Options.

Rochester Play! also caters to moms. As Shelleen puts it, "This is mom's time out." They have free Wi-fi, fancy coffees and smoothies, and a cafe where "our food in general is great for moms, too. We have healthier alternatives such as soups and sandwiches, etc." Moms can also rent out the party room for meetings.

Rochester Play! tries to be as Green as possible. Whenever possible, they are offering organic and all natural foods. You will find recycling bins throughout the cafe, and even ones for toddlers to use that are just the right size and easy to access.

The staff has made sure to keep safety a priority. The entrance to the child care has a pin pad. The door is locked at all times and the parents will have a pin code to enter. (There's a doorbell for first timers.) The play area has only one way out so it's easy to keep an eye on the children's whereabouts. All employees are drug tested and background checked. There are sixteen cameras placed throughout the facility. And, the child care workers have a Bachelor's or Associates degree, or are CDA certified, and the childcare is licensed.

Rochester Play! offers open play for $8 (or $6.50 for 3 and under). Memberships are also available. $30/month for one child, $50/month for 2 or more children. Memberships provide unlimited open play and a 10% discount on other services.
