A hotspot in downtown Lake Orion, Sagebrush Cantina is a Mexican restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The interior and exterior are festive and colorful. The staff is nice and the service is quick. Here is my review:
I went at about 2:00 on a Wednesday afternoon and it was way busier than I expected. Sagebrush Cantina must be doing something right!
As usual, tortilla chips and salsa is a starter. The salsa was great. It wasn't chunky, but rather a smooth mixture with a nice kick.
The Sagebrush Cantina menu has a lot to offer with many Mexican dishes as well as a few non-Mex plates such as ribs and sandwiches. There are 20 appetizers to choose from, salads, triple and double combos, ala carte items, and an entire page dedicated to a drink menu like no other. There is beer, wine and over 30 different kinds of tequilas.
I went with my staple order - the Chimichanga. Actually, this one was called the Sagebrush Cantina "Outrageous Chimichanga." This chimichanga lived up to its name. It was a 1 1/2 pound chimi filled with shredded beef, chicken, and beans in a crispy tortilla topped with sauce, cheese, jalapenos, guac and sour cream...and it was excellent. It was so huge I made about three meals out of it!

Sagebrush Cantina is a great hangout place as well. With some TV screens and a bar area, it makes for a nice get together destination.
