The Green Lantern Pizza - Madison Heights

September 30, 2008

Green Lantern is in the running for best pizza. Now I just have to try Louie's in Hazel Park.

Review - Aside from the cheesy commercials, we heard from everywhere that the best pizza in town was at the Green Lantern. So, one day my husband was on his way home from work and he passes right by Green Lantern, so we decided to give it a shot. We got a large pizza with pepperoni and mushroom and it was as good as everyone said. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The sauce was great, the pepperoni was perfect. The crust was good - not too thick and not too thin. It was a far cry from chain style pizza like Little Caesar's or Hungry Howie's.

We only tried the Green Lantern pizza, but the staff there said they are very well known for their Green Lantern antipasto salad and Italian subs as well. Maybe next time!

My husband picked up our pizza  and said he was glad we were doing Green Lantern carryout because the restaurant was somewhat small, and so was the parking lot. Plus, we're not really into the bar scene. But for this pizza, I would sit just about anywhere:).

There is a second Green Lantern location at 13 and Rochester Road.
