If you recall my ban on Dominos Pizza, then I should explain that I temporarily dropped the ban, in order to be a part of the lunch freebie. But, I still plan on not giving that location a dime of my money. If you don't recall the ban, you can read about it here.
Anyway, I tried out the freebie Dominos Bread Bowl Pasta today and decided to review them. My thoughts? Won't really want another Dominos Bread Bowl Pasta any time soon. If you are unfamiliar with this latest dish, it is a bread bowl with pasta in the middle. There are six different pastas to choose from in the Dominos Bread Bowl Pasta, Italian Sausage Marinara, Three Cheese Mac-n-Cheese, Chicken Carbonara, Pasta Primavera, Chicken Alfredo, Make your own. The first is $5.99, and the others are $7.99. I went with the Chicken Carbonara. The bread part was really
good, but the bottom layer of pasta was kind of stuck/cooked into the bread. And, there was barely any chicken in it. If anything, the whole Dominos Bread Bowl Pasta was mostly bread. If it was priced lower, I would consider Dominos Bread Bowl Pasta an ok lunch option. But, for that price, I would prefer to catch a better lunch deal at a sitdown restaurant. I give them credit for trying out a unique idea though. I think they actually cook the bread with the pasta in it, vs. scooping the pasta into a bread bowl. It's definitely different.
