Here's an event for all ages. It's the Oakland County Airport open house in Waterford, Michigan. It happens this coming Sunday, August 28th from 10am until 4pm. View aircraft, take a ride, watch the airshow...

The events for the 2011 Oakland County Airshow are being finalized. I'll have the entire schedule up when it is released. Here's a sample from last year's Oakland County International Airport 2010 Open House Airshow:

• Pancake breakfast from 7 am till 11 am: Adults $7 and kids 12 and under $4
• Airplane and helicopter rides available for purchase from 10 am till 4 pm except during airshow performances: Airplanes - kids 12 and under $15, Adults $20, family (3) $40; Yankee Air Force rides (30 minutes) - B-17 Ride $425, B-25 Ride $400
• View static display aircraft of all types
• Airshow performances featuring the Scream'n Rebels Airshow Team, Robert Richards in his Pitts aerobatic biplane, giant scale RC flight demonstrations, and a B-2 Stealth Bomber flyby the 509th Bomb Wing

• Breakfast 7:00 am - 11:00 am
• Scream'n Rebels Airshow Team arrival 10:00 am
• Oakland County International Airport Open House 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Air Rides (airplane & helicopter) 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Health & Safety Fair 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
• B-2 Stealth Bomber Flyby - 1:30 pm
• Air Show 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
• Scream'n Rebels Airshow Team departure 4:00 pm

Please note that at this time, a new terminal building is being constructed and so parking in the terminal parking area will not be available. Parking for the Open House Airshow will be located adjacent to the terminal building area. Personnel will direct you to the parking area as you enter the main entrance.
