Low-Scare Haunted Houses and Hayrides for Kids

October 21, 2011

altI'm still a few years away from taking my kids to some of the attractions featured in our Haunted Hayride/Haunted House Directory. Most on the directory are designed to scare the wits out of anyone older than 13. Thankfully, there are options for younger children (and scaredy cats like me). Here are some Metro Detroit options that offer "low scare" Haunted attractions for smaller kids:

Rochester Hills
Dementia

2600 Club Drive
Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307

They take you on a daylight tour of the haunted attraction and the spookiness is toned down. They offer these special tours on Fridays from 4-6p. You can check their website for more info & coupons. Dementia is on the grounds of the Hampton Golf Club and it's a great way for kids to understand how a "Haunted" attraction is set up.
