97.1 The Ticket hosts its third annual free SportsFest, the ultimate Detroit sports fan appreciation event, on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace (46100 Grand River Avenue, Novi, Michigan), formerly Rock Financial Showplace. Admission is free for the whole family to enjoy this celebration of Detroit sports. Parking is $5.

Fans at Sportsfest can meet and greet current and former stars of their favorite Detroit teams: the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons. 2012 Sportsfest will also include roundtable discussions with 97.1 The Ticket hosts.

In addition to autograph signing sessions, Sportsfest 97.1 The Ticket attendees also will be able to enjoy interactive games and round-table discussions, meet 97.1 The Ticket on-air personalities, see impressive sports memorabilia and even hang out at the Sports Pub. For the kids, inflatables, mascot appearances, speed pitch machines and youth clinics will make it a day to remember. Sportsfest autograph procedures: there is a one time $10 donation fee for athlete* autographs. Attendees who make their one time $10 donation will receive a numbered wristband. Due to the high demand of autographs, a wristband lottery system will be used for select autographs.

“Our Detroit sports fans are fantastic and we want to make SportsFest bigger and better for them each year,” said Jimmy Powers, 97.1 The Ticket Program Director. “Our partnerships with all of the Detroit sports teams allows us to put the players and the fans together under one roof, providing them an opportunity to mix and mingle together and guarantees everyone a great time.”
