Sawyer’s Run 5K is a benefit run organized by Brent and Jenny Brown to raise awareness and funds for foster care initiatives in Michigan.

Register for the second annual Sawyer’s Run 5K Run and Walk to be help on September 22nd, 2012 at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township. Race time is 10 am, registration opens at 9am. Stay afterwards for a light picnic as a post-run refuel and learn how you can get more involved in foster care.

Runners and non-runners alike can contribute any time of the year, not just on race day. Procedes and donations from the Sawyer’s Run 5k will be given to our partnering organization, Fostering Futures. We are contributing to their aging out “start up system” where kids that are aging out will receive cleaning supplies, towels, linens etc. to help them get started in an apartment. We are also supporting Operation Good Cheer, where 5 kids (Sawyer’s Run will be supporting the kids who are older) will get 5 presents for Christmas.
