Free Health Education Week

In recognition of National Nutrition Month, Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan will host another week of free educational events and screenings March 15 – 19 for all community members.

The interactive workshops, presented by DHM’s Physicians and Medical Professionals, will cover obesity-related health issues and prevention. All workshops will take place in the Huron Dining Room (S. Johnson St. entrance) from noon – 1:30 p.m., with a light lunch provided.

Many people are concerned about staying healthy during the winter months with cold, flu and the H1N1 viruses going around. That’s why Delta Dental of Michigan recommends taking steps to keep your toothbrush germ-free.

We know to wash our hands often and cover our mouths when we cough or sneeze. But don’t forget about the toothbrush, which visits the mouth several times per day. Dr. Jed Jacobson, chief science officer and senior vice president of Delta Dental of Michigan, offers a few tips for making sure your own toothbrush doesn’t make you sick this winter.
