Rochester Cider Mill - Rochester Hills

September 20, 2009

altRochester Cider Mill is on Rochester Road north of downtown Rochester between Orion Road and Snell

Road. I'd classify Rochester Cider Mill as the Dunkin' Donuts of Michigan Cider Mills. It's not so much of an experience as it is a quick in and out for cider, donuts, jellies and pies. While there isn't a lot to do at the Rochester Cider MillRochester Cider Mill is extremely convenient. Rochester Cider Mill cider is a bit expensive ($4.00 for a half gallon) but it is among the best I've tasted so far. It may not worth a long trip if you're going to bring the kids for autumn fun, but it's very much worth it if you're in the area and need a cider fix.

They have a petting farm with miniature horses and sheep in the back of the property. There is also a giant straw pyramid that is very entertaining for children.

You will not find better cider or donuts. The caramel in the caramel apples is hand made. They have specialty ciders in the beginning of November-December(grape, cranberry, and holiday cider).
