Franklin Cider Mill - Bloomfield Hills

September 23, 2009

altYou can't run a site like Oakland County Moms dot com without reviewing the historic Franklin Cider Mill. Since 1837 Franklin Cider Mill has been serving cider. It's open from Labor Day weekend through

Thanksgiving weekend from 8a-6p on weekends and 7a-6p on weekdays. Located just a mile from Telegraph and 3 miles from 696, the grounds of the cider mill are beautiful and well-maintained. While most cider mill staffs are friendly, Franklin Cider Mill staff goes out of their way to assist and take "courteous" to a new level.

Franklin Cider Mill has an on-site open market featuring many autumn treats. Cheeses, apple butter, apple cider vinegar, U-pick apples, syrups, Mackinaw Fudge, Hickory Farms meats, salsas, flowers and more are all featured. The Franklin Cider Mill cider is a bit expensive ($5.00 for 1/2 gallon) and is very sweet. It's one of the few cider places in Michigan where you can watch the cider actually being made on site.
