They work with local, Michigan farmers whenever possible, so we're talking fresh, locally grown produce, delivered at no extra charge. This process keeps produce supremely fresh, drives down the cost to you and helps boost the Michigan economy. Plus, you don't even have to leave your home. All at prices that meet or beat the average grocery store.
After visiting their website, I was completely interested and had an opportunity to try it out for a review. This opinion is 100% my own and not altered in any way.
I received my Large package on Saturday. The delivery person was very friendly. The produce was extremely fresh - better than what's available at the store currently in some cases. It was convenient as well. I do a ton of home cooking and juicing (see my juicer review here) so I find myself shopping for produce every week, even when there is nothing else I need. So, having this service would allow me to cut back on the number of trips to the grocery store - a HUGE bonus as I hate going grocery shopping! The picture in this article shows everthing that arrived in this week's shipment. Some of the items are typical and some are not what I would normally purchase, which has inspired me to try new foods and recipes. My husband suggested making homemade salsa - I can't wait! I also think it will encourage healty eating.
Also, with the shipment comes a sheet that has a recipe idea using the ingredients that came within the shipment, as well as a listing of the contents. This was helpful since, honestly, I would have mistaken the shallots for regular onions:), and I may not have realized the banana peppers were hot.
Honestly, I am very impressed, I love the concept, and I always love a cause that supports the Michigan economy!
