Auburn Hills Public Library offers several events each month for toddlers, children, teens and families throughout the month.

Here is this month's event calendar for the Auburn Hills Public Library...

Auburn Hills Public Library – Youth Programs

ROCK  ‘N’ RHYME
This program is for babies under 2 and a caregiver.  ONE CHILD PER LAP, PLEASE!  The program includes organized songs, stories and finger plays followed by a free-play time for parents to chat with others. Registration is limited to 15 children. Non-residents may register one week prior to each date if spaces remain. If less than 8 children register, program will be canceled.
March 12th, 16th, April 9th, 23rd, May 7th, 21st

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME:
Preschool Storytime is held on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am, 7p Tuesday evenings and Wednesday evenings  at 7:00 p.m. This program is for children who are age 3 through kindergarten. They must be able to go in the story room without a parent. This is a good introduction to being in a group, practice listening and following directions. The program features books, fingerplays and movement. Registration for residents and Avondale school district families is ongoing. Please register via library website (below).

TODDLER STORYTIME: Thursdays 10:30 a.m.
January 12-February 16  Register beginning December 29
This program is for children who are 2 years old along with a parent or other adult.  Sorry, no multiple children or siblings, though twins may come with one adult.  Toddler Storytime runs in sessions of several weeks. Activities that are included are stories, songs, fingerplays, and crafts.

After School Stories:  Seasonal stories 
Grades K &1
Tuesdays, 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.
The North Wind may blow, the snow may pile up, but we’ll be warm and snug in the library sharing stories, crafts and more.

Junior Library Explorers:  Program subjects change monthly
Grades 2 & 3
Thursdays, 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. 
Do you know much about animals from around our beautiful planet? We’ll explore many fascinating animals—some you may already know about, and maybe some you’ve never heard of!  Join us for an animal adventure you’ll never forget.

Library Explorers
Grades 4 - 6
Wednesdays, 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. 
“Oh, the Games We Will Play”
 “Sorry” if the winter blahs “Trouble” you. “Bingo!”  we have the “monopoly” on fun.  So come board and play lost of old favorites as well as some new. So, get a “clue,”  use your “Cranium” and register for this fun hands-on program.

KNITTING CLUB:  Adults and children ages 7 and up.

Whether you already know how to knit or if you'd like to learn, you are welcome to come to the library on Saturday at noon. A volunteer will be on hand to assist beginners.
