I figured a good way to review Lukas was to have my six year old daughter read it while I watched to see how she reacted. First off, she loved and commented on the Lukas illustrations frequently. She would chuckle here and there and point them out to me. She enjoyed the Lukas
storyline as well. It's about a six year old boy and his wild imagination and how it plays a part in his day's activities. Each time his mom gives him a new task, his imagination soars and sends him into his own little world and imaginative play; defending with his broom "sword" and finding the treasure chest in the "sea" tub.
The author of Lukas, Cathy Carroll is also the illustrator. Lukas is her first book and she has many more on the horizon. Three of these books can be found on her website with the titles "Ants in Pants," "A New Home For Miss B.," and "My Funny Face."
