Oakland County parks aplenty, Indian Springs Metropark is one to see. Meadowlark Park at Indian Springs Metropark features an Adventure Playground for kids ages 2-12. Adventure Playground has a Spray n Play, Climbing Zone and Adventure Maze. Indian Springs is somewhat of a distance for us so we didn't make it out there until recently when one of the OCM readers suggested it (thanks!).

You've got your usual $5 daily Metroparks entry fee, and beyond that it's all free fun. We visited Meadowlark Park which is about a mile and a half into the main park. Meadowlark Park is a one-stop outdoor play center. Children of all ages can enjoy Indian Springs Metropark’s Spray ‘n’ Play at Meadowlark Park. The Spray 'n' Play has many play options, including an open water spray park that is a popular attraction. And, it's easy enough to hop around from one play area to another as everything is built within one giant playing compound. Children can challenge themselves and scale a rock-climbing wall, climb up to the top of a cargo net (that resembles a giant spider web), and race through a fenced maze. Three distinct areas accommodate older children. A toddler area includes a painted labyrinth and sand pit with oversized scoopers for digging.

The playground areas are all modern and more unique rather than typical. The grounds are made of a well padded rubber mat, and everything is attractively colorful and well-maintained.

The Spray ‘n’ Play play area is open year round while the water spray area is open Memorial Day to Labor Day 11 am - 7 pm daily.

There's also a Tot Lot nearby. Toddlers can run around and enjoy the best of Indian Springs Metropark with a barrier-free, wooded playscape that has swings and slides. The Tot Lot is conveniently located near the Meadowlark Picnic Area.
