Sound-Wave Music & Arts opened late 2011 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Sound-Wave Music & Arts owners (Marcus, Susan, and Nick) started this business because they saw it as an opportunity to do what they love doing, and they saw a need for it in the area. They're good teachers (Marcus even taught me a couple of moves on the congas in my few short minutes while I was there) and they all wanted this to be a focus in their lives. At Sound-Wave Music & Arts, they offer something for everybody.

Sound-Wave Music & Arts offers more than you can imagine, and more than you'd find anywhere else.

I toured Sound-Wave Music & Arts recently and was pleasantly surprised. Here's what I saw...

• a store at the entrance that sells quality instruments;
• a drum lesson room with sound proof walls and two sets of drums so the teacher can play side-by-side with the student
• an art room with a dry erase table
• a voice lesson room with walls that are 50% sound proof
• a recording studio with the same equipment you would find at a professional recording studio
• a videography room with a Chromakey green screen wall to create background scenes; and more.

The fun part is that you don't need to be a musician or artist to enjoy the specialties at Sound-Wave Music & Arts. You could be someone like me, a novice just looking for some creative fun. Make a video, sing and record a CD, learn how to play an instrument at 40... or, for the music enthusiast, bring the band on down and record a professional quality CD; for the artist, turn your drawings into an animation... there are many opportunities to stretch the imagination.

Sound-Wave Music & Arts offers the following:

• Music lessons - guitar, drums, piano, voice, bass (upright and electric), DJ, trumpet, and keyboard
• Group classes - on Saturday for 3-5 year olds (Musik Garten)
• Music production - inputs on the walls of each room allows all music to be brought into the recording studio and mixed
• Videography - film making and editing courses, production
• Arts - computer arts, video arts, painting, hand sketches converted to computer animatation, add music to animations.
