Hippo Works dot com is a fun, creative way for kids to learn about being involved with global and animal rights causes. Created by cartoonist Denis Thomopoulos and two friends, Hippo Works dot com is colorful, attractive and easy to maneuver. I admire how the site's content can be just as relevant and fun for a 4 year old as it is for a 12 year old. Hippoworks encourages kids to learn more about the dangers of global warming, pollution and the extinction of animals through environmental concerns in addition to promoting global awareness. It's very educational.
The message in Hippo Works dot com is heavy but I admire how fun and interactive the Hippo Works dot com is as a whole. Kids can play a vast assortment of games, view colorful cartoons, print coloring pages, send e-cards, collect buttons and learn many skills. I was initially worried that some of material on hippoworks would be too radical or preachy but the featured games have global messages for kids to learn without being "in your face". Hippo Works dot com encourages kids to take action in these causes through learning more about them. I admire the responsible learning that hippoworks promotes. I especially admire the fact that they are able to promote these messages in such a fun way. Kids take special pride in learning more about our world. With Hippo Works dot com, they'll take that pride with them as they are being entertained and delighted.
