My friend had Hungry Hungry Hippos when we were kids and we would play it all the time when I went to her house.  It's a game that kids are excited about and very interested in playing.  My kids like to buy each other a present for their birthdays.  My daughter turned 4 last May and my son wanted to buy her Hungry Hungry Hippos.  We love board games so I was happy he wanted to buy it for her, and she was thrilled to open it as well. I decided to review Hungry Hungry Hippos.

We put Hungry Hungry Hippos together and soon found out that the quality was really lacking.  Putting Hungry Hungry Hippos together, you could feel how cheap the Hungry Hungry Hippos pieces were.  And then, once we started playing Hungry Hungry Hippos, the Hungry Hungry Hippos would get stuck and you couldn't keep going after the balls until you got the hippo to retract.  I have heard the same from others who have the game.  My recommendation is that you somehow talk your kids out of Hungry Hungry Hippos. I think my kids got so frustrated with Hungry Hungry Hippos, they haven't played it in a long time. I hope this review was helpful.
