Fin-tini's restaurant review

August 22, 2009

This restaurant is actually in Macomb county, but right on the border and totally worth it!

Fin-tini has been in business for five years now.  It has a very inviting atomosphere that is family friendly, kid friendly, and date friendly. I loved the colorful decor and the vibrant artwork wall hangings.  The booths were nicely oversized yet cozy.  We went on a Friday night around 6pm, and it wasn't really crowded.  One side is a bar with tons of flat screen TV's and the other side is for dining.  I don't know if it was completely a non-smoking restaurant, but there wasn't a smoky odor that I could smell.

Now on to the food... awesome! It starts with a loaf of bread, very similar to that of Kruse and Muer.  Absolute buttery goodness, and unlimited!  Gotta love that. There was butter for dipping as well as some kind of dill mayo type sauce. I could have had just bread and water and I would have been happy - it was so good.

Anyway, there was plenty on the menu to choose from.  And, it was a wide range, from an appetizer or an $8 sandwich , all the way up to a $25 steak. I ordered the Smothered Salmon and my husband got the NY strip steak sandwich. The salmon was "smothered" with mushrooms, capers, roasted red peppers, and onions, all sauteed in olive oil. My meal came with a side salad (excellent mix of greens with an awesome balsamic dressing) or soup, a vegetable, and potato/rice. It was so good.  High in quantity and quality.

And of course, I can't forget to mention that they not only have an extensive wine list, but in keeping with their name, they offer 102 unique martinis.  You name it, they have it. Godiva chocolate, Milky Way, Butterfinger, Mint Chocolate Chip, apple, orange creamsicle... any flavor imaginable.
