Review - Date friendly, carryout friendly, family friendly - Mexican Village is a longstanding Mexican restaurant with two locations (Detroit and Shelby Township). We've gone to the Utica location and love it. I ordered
the Arizonian and it comes with a ton of food, a nice variety/sampler (taco, enchilada, chimichanga, burrito), all for a reasonable cost. Mexican Village does a great job with their chimichanga. The deep fried flour shell is airy and crispy. It is so good. The same concept holds true for Mexican Village soft shelled tacos that are fried to a fluffy crispy shell. I always have food left over, but it is so good that I always end up eating more than I should have!
Everything at Mexican Village is so fresh and good. Another one of my favorites is the salsa. It tastes homemade and is full of a fresh veggie combined taste of tomatoes and onions. Whenever we order Mexican Village take out, I always have them double the standard salsa size container that comes with every order. You can seriously buy Mexican Village salsa in bulk - great idea for parties.
My husband always gets the Mexican Village burrazo which is awesome as well. It's like a burrito that is covered in a rich and zesty sauce and loads of cheese. He loves it. It looks great, but I am always too busy inhaling my dish to stop and try his. I hope this review was helpful.
