Vinsetta Grill - Royal Oak Review and Photos

March 25, 2011

altVinsetta Grill is a cozy, casual restaurant serving ribs, steak, seafood, and its impressive Build Your Own Burger - 5 steps to your own original creation, with a total of 300,000 combinations. Vinsetta Grill seems to have a little bit of everything. It's casual, yet has a sophisticated "Royal Oak" or even "Birmingham" feel. With the attractive decor and lovely ambiance, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the menu is priced very modestly.

Vineyards Deli - Farmington Hills Review

March 18, 2011

altIt's as close to a New York deli as you might get in Metro Detroit in terms of portions and selection. Vineyards Deli in Farmington Hills boasts a huge selection of sandwiches and menu selections varying from traditional deli style to even a few burgers and Mexican options. It was near overwhelming to read through the six columns of menu items up on the wall. Homemade soups. Reubens. Pita sandwiches. My husband ordered some fries and I'm glad I didn't order my own because the one order came in a huge basket the two of us couldn't finish.

PizzaPapalis Kids Special Review

March 11, 2011

altI've been to PizzaPapalis plenty of times, but recently found out about their kids special and just had to check it out. Every Monday at the Troy location (John R. south of 14 Mile Rd.) kids can make their own pizza and it's only a buck! PizzaPapalis does a good job with it (see video below). They take the kids order and then bring them the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. Once they're done, they put their name on a piece of paper so they are sure to get their pizza back.

Bahama Breeze - Troy Review

December 15, 2010

altBahama Breeze is a commercialized version of a South Beach or Cuban restaurant. The atmosphere in the Troy restaurant is bright with pastel pink and green decor and plenty of palm trees. The Bahama Breeze decor is true Miami style, and quite comparable to being sent back in time to Miami, sitting beachside with Don Johnson.
