Oakland County Parks Waterparks Info for 2013

My kids got a waterpark pass last year for a reading program at their school. It was our first time visiting the waterpark and they had an awesome time! If it had not been the end of the season, we would have gone back again. But, these outings add up, especially when you have 2 or 3 kids, or even more.

I was happy to see that Oakland County Parks is taking into consideration that some families are struggling right now. They are offering lower rates for the upcoming summer season to make family fun more affordable.

“The waterparks are really fun for all ages,” Katie Stavale, parks supervisor, said. “Both waterparks have a high energy atmosphere that makes for an ideal summer outing.”  

Here's a summary of the 2013 Oakland County Waterparks hours, rates and info:

Regular Weekend/Holiday Fees for 2013 at Red Oaks Waterpark: Admission is $18, Oakland County Resident Discount rate is $13, Seniors/Active Military get a $2 discount off of admission. Weekday rates are: Adults $15, Oakland County Resident Discount is $10, Seniors/Active Military get a $2 discount off of admission. twilight special of $12 non-res and $7 resident off is also available after 4 p.m. on weekdays. Regular hours for Red Oaks Waterpark are 11a-7p monday through friday and 10a-7p on weekends and holidays. 2013 Red Oaks Season is from May 25-May 27 (weather permitting/weekend rates and hours), June 1 through August 25 regular week day and weekend hours, August 26-August 30 (11a-3p) and August 31-September 2 10a-7p.

Weekday rates are: Adults $8, Oakland County Resident Discount is $8. Twilight rates are buy one/get one free. Regular hours for Waterford Oaks Waterpark are 11a-7p monday through friday and 10a-6p on weekends and holidays. Waterford Oaks Waterpark will open for 2013 on June 7. The Waterford Oaks Waterpark season will run through August 25, 2013. Late season hours are August 26-August 30 from 10a-3p and admission is $6.50. August 31-Sepetember 2 hours are 10a-7p and regular weekend rates apply.
