I know this is old news already, but for those of you who may have missed it, what are your thoughts on this recent BK ad? You can't see the entire ad here because I wanted to zoom in a bit so you could read the fine print. But, there's enough to see to get the idea. This ad is not being run in the states, but regardless, this is completely unnecessary for an establishment that caters to children and families. Who is the ad genius that came up with this one? And, who said "Wow, that's a great idea." And, finally, who at Burger King missed the opportunity to fire the ad agency and instead, ran with the racy ad?
I know they say bad publicity is good publicity. But, I firmly believe that when children are involved somehow, you will hurt from a potentially offensive publicity stunt. As far as I'm concerned, I will always choose McDonald's over Burger King, because compared to BK, McDonald's has class. They are centered around family and their message is completely focused on reaching children with an energetic, friendly and fun attitude. As for BK, I let the SpongeBob debacle go, but I don't think you learned your lesson. Bye-bye.
