I'm tired of hearing about marketing scams

September 05, 2009

Whoa these are desperate times. I admit it - I read those news blurbs on aol. I'm too busy working so it is the easiest way for me to find out what's going on in the worldSmile. Every now and then, I like to read people's comments on the articles.  Just recently, I have noticed how many people have been using the comment areas to promote their business; and in all cases, it's those incredibly annoying pyramid scam concepts. You know what I'm talking about. The ones where the people claim they have made millions and they want us to also make millions, so they are telling us all about it and guarantee if we participate, we'll be rich too. Before I knew it, all 15 of the comments I saw in a single story

ended up being focused around the initial scam comment, i.e. people complaining that this person was using the feedback tool for all the wrong reasons. I'd complain too. I am so sick and tired of hearing about the work-at-home and get rich quick plans, or the acai berry weight loss miracles...why are these people so adamant about telling us their story? Can't they just be rich and happy among themselves? Maybe it's because their success depends on sucking other people in.

What do you think? Are you tired of it, too?
