Recent reports suggest the best way to reduce carbon emissions is to have fewer people emitting carbon. The potential savings from reduced reproduction were found to be huge compared to the savings that can be achieved by changes in lifestyle.
In recent months, experts have come forward to suggest politicians address the issue of population growth.
Yeah, this should go over very well, NOT! I think it's safe to say that nobody wants the government telling people how many kids they can have. Any government involvement in
a family's "reproduction decision" would be considered an invasion of privacy. As long as a family is able to provide for the number of children they decide to have, then they should be welcome to have however many they want. I think it might be borderline comical to see the backlash a politician would face if he/she decided to pursue some kind of population control.
So should Americans have fewer babies to save the environment? What do you think?
