Avery’s Tavern Rochester Hills Review, pics, hours, and menu info – Avery’s Tavern is located on Crooks Rd south of Hamlin Rd and occupies the restaurant landscape that once held Chapman’s Mill & Taco Loco Rochester Hills.
Avery’s Tavern has a little something for everyone. The restaurant is family-friendly, it could appeal to an older crowd, and they seem to going after a younger sports bar/UFC fan demographic with tons of cocktail variations and an attractive patio. In fact the few people who were there when I went crossed generations… Older folks watching sports at the bar. A couple of families with kids in the dining area, and a group early twenty-somethings on the patio hoisting drinks.
It’s tough to draw a younger crowd to a restaurant in a strip mall in Rochester Hills that’s mostly known for hosting a Secretary of State branch but they seem to be holding their own after being in business much longer than their above-mentioned predecessors. On the plus side, there is plenty of space – the dining area is completely separate from the bar area. In addition to being large, the restaurant is clean. It even has large banquet room for private parties.

The Avery’s Tavern menu offers burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as entrees such as Sriracha Bourbon Glazed Salmon, ribs, fish and chips, and steaks. They also have specials posted at each table. My husband got a burger which was good. I ordered the Sriracha Bourbon Glazed Salmon… I figured I’d give it a shot because it was designated as a house favorite.
Avery’s Tavern has Kids Eat Free on Sundays for families. Make sure you call first or let your server know as no one in the entire restaurant seemed to know the parameters of the offer when I dined there.
