Mt Clemens New Years Eve Party – New Years Eve for Kids in Downtown Mt Clemens

Novi Memorial Day Events – Novi Memorial Day Ceremony. Commemorate the lives of our service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice with a patriotic concert and a flag honor walk. The event will conclude with a wreath laying, playing of Taps, twenty-one-gun salute, and a moment of silence and reflection to remember those who were lost. This event is open to the community. To be part of this great community event that also honors Veterans and those currently serving, call 248-347-0414. Parade route is along 10 Mile Rd. Hosted by the City of Novi.

Southfield Memorial Day Ceremony – The City of Southfield will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony at City Hall at 9a. For more info, visit cityofsouthfield.com.

Madison Hts Memorial Day Events – The Memorial Day Parade begins at 9 at Wilkerson Middle School. People are asked to bring their own lawn chairs, and sit along the parade route. For additional information call Martha Kehoe at 248-548-7929.

Holly Memorial Day Ceremony –  A crowd of several thousand veterans, families, friends and the general public are expected to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring deceased veterans interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. There will be patriotic music. The VFW State Honor Guard will present the colors and perform a rifle salute during the ceremony. Taps will also be played. 3 ceremonies conducted by Highland VFW Post 9914. NOTE – Ceremonies are very brief. Those planning on attending should arrive at the locations well before the scheduled start times. 8a at Highland Cemetery, 8:30a at Highland Veterans Memorial Park, and 9a at West Highland Cemetery. Hazel Park Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade – Join the City of Hazel park on Memorial Day for a ceremony starting at 9a at City Hall on John R and Nine Mile Road. The ceremony will be followed by a parade that marches from Hazel Park Jr High to Green Acres Park. Hosted by the City of Hazel Park.

Lake Orion Memorial Day Ceremony  – Lake Orion will host brief ceremonies at 9a at Eastlawn Cemetery (37 E Flint Road Lake Orion) and at 10a in Downtown Lake Orion at Children’s Park (201 S Broadway St #335, Lake Orion, MI 48362). A parade will be held in Downtown Lake Orion at Flint St & Broadway at 11a. If you would like to participate in the parade, please contact Tom Allport at 248-202-6198.
