Stony Creek Fall Wagon Tours – at Stony Creek Metropark – 90 minute wagon tours. Book either a 10a or 1p ride. Hop on the tractor-drawn wagon and enjoy the beauty of fall along a Nature Trail. Along the way, staff will share stories about Stony Creek’s history and various natural features. After your tour, enjoy a roaring campfire to celebrate the season. Program is weather dependent. Ages 3+. $5 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Ferndale Jingle & Mingle
Ferndale Jingle & Mingle takes place in Downtown Ferndale. Hours are Saturday from 10a-9p and Sunday from
11a-6p. This year’s event will feature DJ sounds, live entertainment, special PATIO Zone holiday drinks at local bars and restaurants, and a holiday market. Stop by the event while shopping and dining in Downtown Ferndale. Hosted by the City of Ferndale.

Ferndale Santa Parade
Ferndale Santa Parade takes place in Downtown Ferndale. Santa is coming to downtown. Check out Santa as he rides through downtown on a Firetruck and stops at Wilson Park at 1p, 1:30p at Geary Park, and 2p at Schiffer Park for 15 minutes at each location followed by crafts, letter writing, cookies, and s’mores from 2p to 4p at Schiffer Park. Hosted by the Downtown Ferndale DDA.

Stony Creek Metropark Kids Night at the Nature Center – Drop your kids off and enjoy your Friday night, kid-free. Your kids will have a blast as they meet the nature center animals, including our nocturnal opossum. They’ll get a chance to explore outside along a trail, looking for tracks in the moonlight, gazing at the growing moon, and listening for owl calls and coyote howls. Kids will warm up around our campfire and cook s’mores. Snacks will be provided. Ages 7-12. $10 per child. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113.

Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation.
