Royal Oak Social District Saturdays – Downtown Royal Oak Social District – Centennial Commons / W Fifth Street Plaza Area (Closed portion) / S Center Street (Between 3rd and 4th). Visitors are invited to grab a drink in Downtown Royal Oak’s Social District and enjoy complimentary live music and yard games at three different locations. The Royal Oak Social District allows customers to purchase alcoholic beverages to-go from participating businesses, and can consume drinks in designated areas throughout Downtown Royal Oak. Milford Movies at Central Park – Milford Twp is hosting their FREE Milford Picnic and Movies series in Downtown Milford on select days through the summer. Movies start at dusk. Milford Community Picnics take place at Central Park and feature games, bouncers, refreshments, hot dogs, climbing wall, pony rides & petting farm, crafts, and science alive.

Troy Stage Nature Center Trick or Treat Among The Trees – A fun and friendly outdoor celebration for kids ages 3-9. Costumed kids are welcome to hike the woodland pumpkin trail with a SNC guide. Children will learn the secrets of the forest and receive treats and meet costumed characters. Dress for weather. Fee is $14.50. FREE for parents/guardians. The Big Reveal Milford Christmas Event – Stores on Main Street in Downtown Milford reveal festive holiday Christmas and holiday window displays to their stores. Come downtown and watch the kids “unwrap” the storefronts. Local merchants will wrap their storefronts on Tuesday, get busy, and reveal their holiday best on Thursday night. Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center
Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center is Hosted by the Troy Nature Society. Visit times vary. The visits will take place outside, weather permitting. Bring your letter with a return address for Santa to take with him to the North Pole. Santa will send a letter back to you. At the visit, each child will receive the materials and directions for a special craft to make at home and a special gift bag from Santa. Ages 3-8. $12. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making.
