Stony Creek Metropark Maple Sugaring – March 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 10a-3p (1 hour sessions). Learn the history of sugaring and how to identify maple trees. Hike into the spring woods to tap a maple. Afterwards, return to the campfire and learn the process of boiling sap into rich maple syrup. Face coverings and social distancing are required. All ages. $5 per person. Pre-registration is required at least 1 day in advance online or call 586-781-9113. 10a-11:30a, noon-1:30p, 2p–3:30p. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. 2021 vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today. Detroit Santa Claus Pet Photos – Detroit K-9’s team of professional photographers will photograph your family & pets in a beautiful holiday scene. A $5 donation is suggested with 100% of the photo proceeds benefiting Dog Aide, a non-profit organization with the mission to provide assistance to dog owners in the City of Detroit that are experiencing a financial hardship. Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade – The parade will start at Main Street & Lincoln and will proceed north to Second Street The parade has been held on Memorial Day for several decades as a respectful tribute to our veterans – past and present. Detroit Santa Claus Pet Photos at K-9 Pet Supplies. Detroit K-9 Pet Supplies invites you to bring your whole family – including your pets – to have pictures taken with Santa.
