Foster Care Orientation Meeting
Foster Care Orientation meeting at the Ennis Center for Children are for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a licensed foster parent. The orientation is the first step towards becoming a licensed foster parent with Ennis Center for Children. Information is provided about the types of children in care, how they enter care, and the process/skills needed to become a licensed foster parent. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll
Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes.
