Bloomer Park Making Maple Syrup – 11a-12:30p OR 1p-2:30p (2 sessions to choose from). Learn the first steps to make your own Maple Syrup. From identifying various species of maple tree, to the tree tapping process and sap boiling setup. You’ll leave with all the knowledge you need to make your own syrup and the Spile, Tubing, and Bucket to tap your own Maple Tree. Ferndale Winter Blizzard Blast – A FREE outdoor Winter forest festival-themed event. The event will include Winter nature craft, snowshoeing, snow art, and more. Hosted by Ferndale Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Oakland County Parks.
Riley Park Ice Rink Superhero Skate – Riley Park Ice Rink Special Event. Riley Park ice rink is open daily, weather permitting. Hours are daily from 10a-10p. Skating is FREE to the public. Questions and inquiries on ice conditions should be directed to 248-474-5500 or check the Riley Park Ice Rink Facebook Page. The rink does not have skate rental. The Riley Park Rink is maintained by the City of Farmington.
Liberty Athletic Club FREE Adaptive Tennis Classes – The game of tennis can be adapted so everyone can have fun and play the sport. This program serves adults and children (ages 9-26) with disabilities and special needs. Classes will be led by Liberty Athletic Club’s Head Tennis Professional, Dean Boodakian. Hockeytown Winterfest 2022 – Enjoy family fun and exciting indoor/outdoor activities. The Hockeytown Winterfest is free, open to the public and accessible for fans of all ages. Enjoy ice skating at Little Caesars Arena, games, Red Wings alum autographs, inflatable indoor obstacle course, live DJ, face painters, box hockey, ice carving demos, and much more. You can reserve tickets HERE. Discounted parking will be available for $8 in the Temple West Garage (123 W Temple St) and Little Caesars Arena Garage (165 Sproat St).
