Hazel Park Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade – Join the City of Hazel park on Memorial Day for a ceremony starting at 9a at City Hall on John R and Nine Mile Road. The ceremony will be followed by a parade that marches from Hazel Park Jr High to Green Acres Park. Hosted by the City of Hazel Park.
Indian Springs Metropark Dog Walking Club – Prepare to walk between one to three miles along our paved trail, with stops along the way for your pups to sniff, explore and rest. Dogs are required to remain on a 6-foot leash. Please be prepared to clean up your pet’s waste. If your dog is having a bad day or displaying aggressive behaviors, you may be asked to leave the program early. Ages 8+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Then journey through the prairie to search for the variety of native plants that make Indian Springs Metropark a great butterfly habitat, and hopefully see some of the butterflies themselves.
