Red Oaks Preschool Nature Program
Red Oaks Preschool Nature Program – Red Oaks Nature Center (248-585-0100). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy
nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-858-0100. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month.
Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13. Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or register online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

Art Birmingham – Birmingham Mother’s Day Event at Shain Park Birmingham (S Bates and W Merrill, Birmingham, MI). 175 juried artists on the beautiful grounds of Shain Park. Perfect for Mother’s Day gift shopping. Saturday from 10a-6p and Sunday from 10a-5p.

Explore Stony Creek Metropark with your furry friend. During each program, a park interpreter will meet you at different dog-friendly rustic trails throughout the park. Enjoy a nice hike through the woods as you discover the trees, wildflowers, and animals that call the Metroparks home. All ages event. $5 Adult / $3 Child. Enjoy the wildflowers that are starting to bloom and share some quality time with the special person in your life. Be sure to stop by the nature center to get a certificate and a flower to plant at home. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Permits are on sale NOW. Celebrate Birmingham Parade and Party
Celebrate Birmingham Parade and Party at Shain Park – the Downtown Birmingham Hometown Parade event
will feature children’s activities, live entertainment and food inside Shain Park immediately following the parade. This event is a celebration of the Birmingham community and schools. Participation offers an opportunity for businesses, organizations, individuals, schools and groups to promote themselves to the community. People of all ages come to town to celebrate and enjoy the family-fun festivities. The half-mile parade route travels through the charming downtown with many shops and restaurants.
