
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature two separate areas for ages 1-4 and ages 5-12. The schedule is as follows – 1p at Garbuitt Park (end of Marie Street near Eight Mile and Pincecrest) for ages 1-4 only, 1:30p at Geary Park (Pinecrest St north of W Nine Mile Rd), 2p at Martin Rd Park (Lewiston Ave W of Hilton Rd). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to see the Easter Bunny and enjoy hot chocolate, s’mores, and a senior bake sale goods. This is a FREE and non-registration event. The Hawk Sunday Super Bounce – 10a-11:30a (ages 2-5) or 11a-1p (ages 6-11). Once a month on special mornings and afternoons HAWK staff members will set up the inflatable bouncers in the gym to make an arena of fun. Students, parents, veterans, and career changers can learn about the demand in jobs that don’t require a four year degree. Meet with trade companies that offer educational opportunities to learn and get involved in a skilled field that doesn’t require a four year college degree. There will also be companies that have openings for summer student employment and educational options outside the normal four year college degree including other options for high school students in education. You can visit with any vendors you wish to speak with at the event.
