Canterbury EGGstravaganza – Easter activities throughout the afternoon petting zoo, lawn games, and FREE photos with the bunny. Children can collect 10 bunny eggs from the helicopter drop zone and redeem them at shops for prizes. Must purchase tickets in advance. $9 per attendee. Parking is FREE. Kensington Metropark Maple’s Sweet Story
Kensington Metropark Maple’s Sweet Story – Take a guided walk through the farm’s Sugar Bush. Learn how
to pick the right maple tree, then watch how maple trees are tapped and sap is collected. Stop by the French and Native American camps to hear and see how these techniques have changed through the years. Then visit the Sugar Shack to see and smell the sap being boiled down into maple sugar. Real maple sugar products will be available for purchase. All ages. $3 per child / Adults $5. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Permits are on sale NOW. Foster Care Orientation Meeting
Foster Care Orientation meeting at the Ennis Center for Children are for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a licensed foster parent. The orientation is the first step towards becoming a licensed foster parent with Ennis Center for Children. Information is provided about the types of children in care, how they enter care, and the process/skills needed to become a licensed foster parent. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5p-7p at each local Ennis office. Virtual meetings are held via ZOOM every 3rd Tuesday of the month. For more info, www.enniscenter.org
Clarkston Preschool Nature Program
Clarkston Preschool Nature Program at Wint Nature Center (248-625-6473). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child. adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13. Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or register online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

Canterbury Village Walk for Warmth – (248-391-5700) Warm a heart, help a home. Join OLHSA for a family friendly afternoon of fun and community at the annual Walk for Warmth. Contributions to Walk for Warmth support emergency services provided by OLHSA that help keep our neighbors safe and warm. Those interested in walking can register at https://fundraise.givesmart.
Entertainment will include the Genisys Band, National Anthem by Vanessa Carr, Huda Jump Rope Team, Detroit Institute of Arts craft tent, Oakland University kids crafts, Oakland County Sheriff’s Therapy Dogs, and Miss Oakland County Teen.
