Ferndale Daddy Daughter Dance – The dance serves as an opportunity for fathers, uncles and other paternal (and maternal) figures to show the little princesses in their lives how special they are, empowering them to grow into strong, self-assured young ladies. The night is highlighted by dancing to a live DJ, treats, and finger foods. Each couple receives a photo printed on site, and every girl receives a goodie bag and a lovely carnation. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making.
