
Holly Memorial Day Ceremony – A crowd of several thousand veterans, families, friends and the general public are expected to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring deceased veterans interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. There will be patriotic music. The VFW State Honor Guard will present the colors and perform a rifle salute during the ceremony. Taps will also be played. Lake Orion Memorial Day Ceremony – Lake Orion will host brief ceremonies at 9a at Eastlawn Cemetery (37 E Flint Road Lake Orion) and at 10a in Downtown Lake Orion at Children’s Park (201 S Broadway St #335, Lake Orion, MI 48362). South Lyon Memorial Day Parade – Organized by VFW Post 2502. The parade launches at 9a from Bartlett Elementary and makes its way down 10 Mile through downtown. The parade ends in the South Lyon Cemetery with a ceremony that commemorates the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. Organized by South Lyon VFW Post 1224.

Birmingham Memorial Day Events – The annual observance of Memorial Day in Shain Park includes addresses by the Mayor and State Representative, patriotic music, and an introduction of veterans. Clawson Memorial Day Ceremony – at Blair Public Library Gazebo. Join Clawson American Legion Post 167 to honor fallen heroes with a brief ceremony in honor of the fallen men and women in service. Hosted by the City of Clawson.

Farmington Memorial Day Parade – at the Intersection of Grand River & Orchard Lake Road on Grand River Avenue, between Orchard Lake Road and downtown Farmington. The event ends with a ceremony at Memorial Park at Grand River Avenue & Oakland Street, followed by a free community luncheon hosted at the American Legion. The Parade Committee is looking for volunteers who would like to join the team and help organize and manage the event. Ferndale Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony – Downtown Ferndale Michigan
The parade begins on Livernois at Maplehurst, north to Oakridge St, west to Pinecrest, south to Nine Mile Rd, east to Livernois, and south on Livernois to the Veteran’s Memorial Mall for ceremony at 11a. Hosted by the City of Ferndale.
