Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Spring Events
South Lyon Labor Day Bridge Walk – held by the South Lyon Area Recreation Authority in conjunction with other Walks around the state modeled after the LD Mackinac Bridge Walk.
This all-ages event will run along the Huron Valley Rail Trail and through downtown South Lyon MI. It’s is a 2.5 mile walk.
Whitmore Lake Halloween Mystery Movie – at Dusk at Northfield Community Park (next to the Whitmore Lake Post Office). Vote for your favorite family Halloween movie and then come and see which movie was selected. Pizza and snacks for sale. For more info, visit northfieldmi.gov.

South Lyon Mother’s of Multiples Mom2Mom Sale – Spring Mom 2 Mom sale in South Lyon. Set up Department store style. Strollers welcome. Cash and credit cards accepted. South Lyon Memorial Day Parade – Organized by VFW Post 2502. The parade launches at 9a from Bartlett Elementary and makes its way down 10 Mile through downtown. The parade ends in the South Lyon Cemetery with a ceremony that commemorates the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. Organized by South Lyon VFW Post 1224.
Waterford Memorial Day Parade – Burke Lumber (Dixie Hwy and Sashabaw Rd, Waterford, MI).
The annual Memorial Day parade hosted by the Heart of the Lakes VFW post 1008. The parade runs on Dixie Hwy beginning at Sashabaw Rd traveling North to Williams Lake Rd.
