Holiday fun in Royal Oak, Enjoy the Cookie Crawl at Downtown stores, the RO Light Parade at 6p, live music, children’s crafts, food trucks, Holiday Marketplace, carriage rides, Santa & Mrs Claus & Santa’s reindeer. Royal Oak Earth Day Fair – A rally and fair with dozens of displays by environmental and conservation groups. Hosted by turnoaklandcountygreen.com.
Indian Springs Metropark Earth Day Camp – Day camp for kids will cover the basics of reduce, reuse, recycle. Campers will learn to be more conscious visitors in the parks and in nature. Enjoy lots of fun projects and crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear clothes that can get messy. Ages 7+. $40 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 248-625-7280. MetroBarks Dog Walking Club at Indian Springs Metropark – Prepare to walk between one to three miles along our paved trail, with stops along the way for your pups to sniff, explore and rest. Dogs are required to remain on a 6-foot leash. Please be prepared to clean up your pet’s waste. If your dog is having a bad day or displaying aggressive behaviors, you may be asked to leave the program early. Ages 8+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Royal Oak Social District Saturdays – Downtown Royal Oak Social District – Centennial Commons / W Fifth Street Plaza Area (Closed portion) / S Center Street (Between 3rd and 4th). Visitors are invited to grab a drink in Downtown Royal Oak’s Social District and enjoy complimentary live music and yard games at three different locations. The Royal Oak Social District allows customers to purchase alcoholic beverages to-go from participating businesses, and can consume drinks in designated areas throughout Downtown Royal Oak.
