Royal Oak Jingle – Downtown Royal Oak. Holiday fun in Royal Oak, Enjoy the Cookie Crawl at Downtown stores, the RO Light Parade at 6p, live music, children’s crafts, food trucks, Holiday Marketplace, carriage rides, Santa & Mrs Claus & Santa’s reindeer. Royal Oak Earth Day Fair – A rally and fair with dozens of displays by environmental and conservation groups. Hosted by turnoaklandcountygreen.com.
Farmington Hills Safety & Crime Prevention Fair – This is a FREE event for the community that is focused on providing preventative information to parents, adults, teens and even kids. Topics being discussed include: Scams/identity theft prevention, safe sleeping practices for infants, medication vs. candy, firearms safety, medication take-back, and other important topics that would benefit the public. There will be a dedicated kids area where kids can color cut-out police cars and badges. Students, parents, veterans, and career changers can learn about the demand in jobs that don’t require a four year degree. Meet with trade companies that offer educational opportunities to learn and get involved in a skilled field that doesn’t require a four year college degree. There will also be companies that have openings for summer student employment and educational options outside the normal four year college degree including other options for high school students in education. You can visit with any vendors you wish to speak with at the event.
