West Bloomfield Halloween Trick or Treat Trail – (4 timeslots to choose from) at Marshbank Park (248-451-1900, www.westbloomfieldparks.org). Trick or Treat on a safe and friendly 1/2 mile paved trail. Collect Trick or Treat on a safe and friendly 1/2 mile paved trail. Collect goodies from costumed characters, local businesses and organizations. Pre-register is encouraged. This event sells out. Event runs rain or shine. For ages 3-12. West Bloomfield Little Hikers – at West Bloomfield Twp Recreation Activities Center (wbparks.org). Join our Naturalist on a nature
discovery walk. Enjoy silly songs and fun activities to keep all ages, from babies to school-aged engaged. Families can explore the Nature Room and Outdoor Natural Play Area after the hike. The trail is 0.5 miles and unpaved so only all-terrain strollers are recommended. A baby backpack/carrier is suggested for infants. The fee is per family. $3 resident / $5 non-resident. WB Parks Storytime and Fishing – Bassquatch – at Marshbank Park (248-451-1900, wbparks.org). Join Mike McKinstry, of “The
Bassquatch Hunter: Fish Out of Water” on the Discovery Channel, in this family-fun event. Mike will read his book, “The Adventures of Seth-Squatch”, do a craft and then hit the docks to fish. Fishing instruction is available. No experience is necessary. All supplies are included. WB Parks Bowl With Santa
WB Parks Bowl With Santa – at Wonderland Lanes. John Santa for an afternoon of bowling.
Registration includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, beverage, and a goody bag. At least one parent must register with their child(ren). Additional family members who would like to spectate only, must register under course #3030-Xtra and pay the spectator fee. Please note, food and bowling is not included as a spectator. West Bloomfield Winter Solstice Celebration
West Bloomfield Winter Solstice Celebration at Recreation Activities Center – Celebrate the most magical and darkest night of the year and the slow return of the sun. Walk the glowing trail. Activity stations will be set up throughout this experience: create a glowing craft; Oakland Astronomy Club will be guiding you through the night sky with telescopes (weather permitting); A custom glowing ice carving will be on display for a photo op; Roast a marshmallow around the fire; Learn about nature in winter.
