Classroom Antics Summer Tech Camps 2020 – Classroom Antics offers Summer Tech Camps in the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) for kids ages 7-13. These hands-on enrichment programs are a fun and engaging for young minds to develop skills, encourage creativity and continue learning.

Camps are 3 hours long for 5 days, totaling 15 hours. Campers can attend either a morning or afternoon session, or combine two sessions to make an all-day camp. Morning sessions run from 9a-noon, and afternoon sessions run from 1p-4p. For an all-day camp, kids stay from 9a to 4p, and eat a packed lunch with the other all-day campers and instructors. All materials and equipment are provided by Classroom Antics, so campers don’t need to bring anything, except a lunch if staying all-day. All class sizes are up to 12 participants, for maximized learning and social environment, and campers do not have to share equipment.

LEGO Bots (Ages 7-9)
Inspire the engineer in your child! In this course, kids learn an age-appropriate application of engineering by constructing robots they control using basic visual programming to move with motors, react with sensors and make noise. (to register)

LEGO Robotics (Ages 10-13)
New challenges created for 2019! This year, kids build LEGO robots to think, move and react to solve various engineering challenges facing astronauts and space explorers. (to register)

Minecraft Coding (Ages 9-13)
If your kid loves Minecraft, they’ll love this camp! Campers design and program their own ideas into Minecraft, creating their own version and levels of the game. They’ll learn how to change, edit and customize tools, weapons, environments, switches and circuits within the game. (to register)

Creative Coders (Ages 8-12)
Turn your kid’s creativity and love for games into knowledge of code. Campers will create fun, interactive software programs and learn how to make loops, if-then statements, subordinates and variables within the programs. (to register)

Brick Flicks (Ages 9-13)
Kids will love learning how to make their own stop-motion movies with LEGOs, a hi-def webcam and mini-capture software. Expressing their creativity, they’ll create their own stories complete with green-screens, developed characters and scripts. (to register)

Game Builders (Ages 7-9)
Campers channel their love for video games into designing their own! Kids will create their own challenges, characters and environments within the game and get to bring their game home on a USB at the end of the week. (to register)

Arcade Game Design (Ages 10-13)
Turn your consumer into a creator with video game design camp! Campers will go through the full process of creating their own video game. From character and environment development, to adding music, sound effects, levels and rooms, they’ll harness their skills and create many types of arcade-style video games. (to register)

TubeStars (Ages 9-13)
Does your child want to be the next big thing? TubeStars will teach them the entire process of video production, from scriptwriting, storyboarding and even creating their own brand. Kids will create a variety of popular style videos. (to register)
