Heroes BBQ and Brew Waterford review, pics, hours, and menu info – Heroes BBQ and Brew is a laid back bar/restaurant located on West Huron St off of M-59 near Telegraph in Waterford. Heroes BBQ and Brew has been around since 1994 and claims to be pretty well known in Waterford.
The Heroes BBQ and Brew menu boasts a wide variety of food, well beyond just BBQ selections, so everyone is sure to find something they love. I had a hard time deciding because there was so much to choose from. Depending on my mood, I’m either headed in there with a burrito on my mind, or a big salad, or some ribs. Vast menu, but if you’re looking for a dedicated BBQ theme as the name implies, you might be a bit disappointed. You won’t find any brisket or traditional BBQ fare beyond ribs & chicken.
Heroes offers quality food in decent portion sizes. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and chicken combo and couldn’t even come close to finishing all the food. My friend ordered a Greek salad and even though she said it was the best Greek salad she’s ever had (and she’s had many) she could not finish hers either. Other tempting options on the Heroes BBQ and Brew menu include Mexican, burgers, sandwiches, wings, salads, homemade pastas, fresh fish, chicken, and a kids menu. I can’t wait to go back to try that Greek salad as well!
Heroes has a cozy atmosphere that is nicely spread out with some over-sized booths which are my favorite…the kind where three people can fit on each side. There are TV’s for watching the big game, and a bar area if you’re looking to sit right at the bar and just hang out.
The restaurant offers daily specials and a rewards program. You can also sign up for their newsletter and start receiving rewards for being a loyal customer, with a special gift sent to you on your birthday and anniversary.
The staff is great. My friend and I were there for 2 1/2 hours chatting about old times and catching up. The Heroes BBQ and Brew staff kept checking in on us in a super friendly way…not in a way where we felt like we were being rushed out of there. Also, I called ahead of time to make a reservation just in case and the staff who answered the phone was so nice it was refreshing. It’s the little things sometimes that make the biggest impression. I’ll definitely be back.
