How to Solve a Rubik’s Cube – It’s been a long time since I solved a Rubik’s Cube but when my son received one as a gift, I knew I had to re-learn how to solve a Rubik’s Cube.
I’m guessing most of us are about the same age and can remember when the Rubik’s cube first came out. It was THE toy to have, yet once you got it, you messed it all up and then it was close to impossible to solve and no longer fun.
Probably about 80% of today’s kids have a Rubik’s cube and most probably have the same story to tell. They were bored with it quickly once they realized there was not much to do with it once it got all messed up.
I grew up with a brother who is five years older than I am. Although I consider myself to be pretty smart, my brother is the smartest person I know. He decided back then to find out how to solve the Rubik’s cube and I (who looked up to my big brother) followed closely behind.

Much of what we learned stuck with me ’til today and I was able to get a good head start on solving my kids’ Rubik’s cube. Once I got stuck, I found a website that does a great job explaining the steps, and there are no cliffhangers where you need to buy the final steps in order to finish it. It’s easy to follow and not only will you look like a hero in front of your kids, but you will also bring back the fun with this toy. My kids love to mix it up and have me solve it. They are even trying to figure it out on their own, now that they’ve seen it can be done!
