InterACT Entertainment Summer Theatre Camps – Theatre camps at Next Level Dance Studios in Troy, Michigan for kids ages 8-18 interested in acting, singing, dancing, and improv.

InterACT Entertainment is offering two sessions of fun and creativity for young thespians of all experience levels. Campers will be singing, dancing, acting, and learning about improvisational and foundational games and skills.

Students entering 3rd grade (8 years old) and exiting seniors (18 years old) are welcome at this camp. Some activities are done as a team and sometimes performers are split up as needed to facilitate training for every level of thespian.

InterACT Entertainment Summer Theatre Camps 2022

  • Session One – July 11 through July 22 (9a to 3p, Monday through Friday)
  • Session Two – July 25 through August 5 (9a to 3p, Monday through Friday)

At the end of each two-week session, campers will perform in an original musical written for camp so that each student’s skills and interests are displayed, and students spend a lot of time training and performing in the areas of theatrical discipline that are most interesting to them. The show is open to friends and family and more information is handed out at the beginning of each camp session. There is also time for Improvisation, fun, camaraderie, a trip or two for ice cream, and even a day to bring a friend to camp.

InterACT Entertainment has been serving the Oakland County Community and throughout the United States for more than 30 years and is proud to offer these experiences to young artists.

Campers will train and rehearse every day with Co-Directors, Joey Albright and Debbie Tedrick, along with Choreographer Alexis DeCapua-Collins, former Detroit Country Day School dance teacher, and currently a freelance popular local choreographer at many dance studios. Co-Director/Music Director, Ms. Tedrick has an MFA in Musical Theatre, is a former professor at University of Central Florida, a current professor at Rochester University and has taught voice, music appreciation, theatre appreciation, and theatre technique in California, Texas, Florida and Michigan. Co-Director/Acting Instructor, Mr. Albright is a professional actor and a member of SAG and Actor’s Equity Association. He heads an at-risk youth theatre program in Ypsilanti and works with youth and adult actors, as well as directs and acts in many local professional theatre companies such as The Purple Rose, Williamston, and more. Together Joey and Debbie have produced camps, musical productions, and classes for area youth for over 25 years.
