ivivva Twelve Oaks review and info – ivivva has two locations in Michigan – Somerset Collection and Twelve Oaks malls. ivivva carries activewear for girls. Created by lululemon, the line is inspired by and co-created with active girls. ivivva’s athletic wear runs sizes 6-14, and items are labeled for their activity. ivivva covers all sports – tennis, gymnastics, surfing, water sports, dance, golf… a well as every day wear.
ivivva Twelve Oaks
The ivivva Twelve Oaks location just opened in April 2016, and they invited us out to try a fit session for my daughter and a friend. Fit sessions at ivivva are a one-on-one experience for the girls…. a moment that truly empowers the girls. When girls enter the store, the staff introduces themselves and shakes hands with the girls. They ask the girls for their name and “sport” interest. Then, they write it on the fitting room door white board..e.g. Lindsey Fit Session – gymnastics.
Then, ivivva Twelve Oaks staff guides the girls by telling them to each pick out three outfits – one that you would wear every day, one that you would wear doing the activity you love, and one that you think you’d never wear. As the girls try on their outfits and come out to show everyone, the staff asks them questions about it. They ask the girls where they’d wear it, how the material feels, how does it fit, what makes it fun, what would make it better, etc. They love the feedback, and the girls are at an age where they feel comfortable being completely honest. The girls get to openly comment on everything so they find the perfect outfit. The girls feel empowered, meanwhile, ivivva gets valuable feedback and can come back with designs that the girls have suggested they would love.
ivivva’s shopping experience makes the girls feel so excited to shop. They truly are a part of the decision making process. They’re in control of the situation, and their opinion matters. Honestly, this was the first time my daughter did not mind trying on clothes!
The clothes at ivivva are top notch quality and they have a fantastic fit. Everything is also super comfortable, which is helpful when you’re active.
ivivva stores have movable fixtures that allow them to open up a space so girls can truly try out their active wear. ivivva encourages girls to test out the gear they are trying on by moving around to see how it feels, such as cartwheels, roundhouse kicks and pirouettes. ivivva also hosts camps, complimentary events like dance, yoga, run clinics, and a variety of athletic classes so girls can try new activities, make new connections, and have fun.
