Jalapenos Clarkston review, pics, hours, and menu info. Jalapenos Clarkston Mexican Restaurant is located in Clarkston MI on Sashabaw Rd. just north of DTE/Pine Knob. Jalapenos is an authentic Mexican restaurant that serves quality, fresh Mexican food. I visited the Pontiac location and loved it so I was eager to check out the Jalapenos in Clarkston.

Jalapenos Clarkston has the same menu as the Pontiac location which includes every Mexican dish you can think of… quesadillas, chimichangas, burritos, fajitas, tacos, flautas, and more. You can tell that the staff takes pride in their food. They served the food quick, fresh, and delicious, and they were kind and courteous. I asked if they could make a dish without butter, and they happily substituted olive oil. It was fantastic. Jalapenos also has a full drink menu including Margaritas that are the talk of the town. We needed two hands to pick up the glass… I highly recommend the Mango Margarita.

Jalapenos Clarkston offers affordable prices on their menu. They also have a great lunch menu that provides a ton of great food at a low price. My husband and I went for lunch to the Pontiac location and the parking lot was full – a definite hit in the area – especially for those looking for a delicious, fast, and affordable lunch. My friend and I went to the Clarkston location on a Friday evening. It was crowded, there was still some available seating, and we were able to get a seat at the bar and order food.
The interior of Jalapenos Clarston is newer than the Pontiac location. There are a couple flat screen TV’s and there is booth seating available. It’s a bit more modern in style as well. It’s also very clean. Jalapenos in Pontiac reminded me a lot of El Patio in Waterford. It’s a no-frills dining room, with affordable and delicious food.
The service at Jalapenos is quick and kind. We seated ourselves at the bar and the staff quickly brought freshly made, hot tortilla chips to our table with their three signature salsas – roasted jalapeno, red tomato, and avocado tomatillo. They were all the best salsas I have ever tried. I can never get enough of the avocado tomatillo. I poured it on my rice even after the chips were gone. I totally forgot that they sell their salsa. Next time I visit, I’m stocking up.
