Howell Martin Luther King Day Events – MLK 2.0 Tribute Concert – UPDATE – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
The First Presbyterian Church of Howell (323 W Grand River Ave, Howell, MI 48843)
MLK 2.0 is a two-day event organized by Huron-Clinton Metroparks, Howell Carnegie District Library, and Livingston Diversity Council. This concert showcases PCS Ensemble, and explores the cultural and historical significance of gospel music in advocating for equality and freedom. The song selections will span from 1954 to 1968. Before the concert begins, there will be a reception where refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is not required. This is a FREE event. Hosted by Metroparks.

Milford Martin Luther King Jr Day Events – MLK March on Main Street
Prospect Hill Shopping Center (512 Highland Ave, Milford Charter Twp, MI 48381)
Grab your family and friends and head downtown to join in for the 19th annual March on Main Street in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Lineup begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Prospect Hill Shopping Center parking lot. The march begins at 1p and will conclude at the SHAC / River’s Edge Market. Hosted by Huron Valley MLK Day.

Community-wide celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. a community-wide celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Operation Cover Me for Grace Centers of Hope. Theme for 2024 is “Be Love – Our Goal, Our Community”. Community Challenge: challenge the citizens of Auburn Hills to commit to taking steps that promote beauty, love, and justice in the community and beyond. Auburn Hills is in need of 1.5-yard sections of fleece to make tie fleece blankets to donate to Grace Centers of Hope. Also, will accept blankets already made. The community is invited to gather at Royal Oak Middle School for a freedom walk and donation drive. The march steps off 10a. After walk, return to ROMS for more activities such as card making, blanket making, making hygiene kits, and sorting donations. Donations are accepted from 8:30 – Noon.
