Michigan Science Center Summer Spark! Camps 2023 – a variety of summer camps available for kids entering first through seventh grades at the Michigan Science Center in Detroit, Michigan. Campers may explore topics such as planet Earth, nature, animals, science experiments, engineering, LEGO building, astronaut skills, chemical reactions, plus more fun! Each week of camp features a special theme and is tailored to grades first through seventh.
Camp activities run from 9a-4p. Campers are expected to come with a packed lunch and a water bottle, and sunscreen labeled with your child’s name is also highly recommended. A snack will be provided at the end of the day. Before and After care is available for an additional fee. Before Care is available from 8a-8:45a & After Care is available from 4:15p-5:30p

This camp features the exploration of interactive, hands-on exhibits, investigating science through experiences, engaging in immersive theater experiences, and more.
Each week will feature different activities designed around a central theme, with interactive activities designed to connect campers’ discoveries to current scientific research and progress. From engineering and game design to earth and space science, there is something to spark curiosity for every camper. Campers will also have a chance to participate in other activities that the Science Center has to offer, including live presentations in the IMAX Dome Theatre and the Toyota Engineering 4D Theater.
